Created Character Policy

Created characters are certainly welcome in all the RPGs (and are required in the Next Generation RPG...).

Note that the created character policy is different for the Next Gen RPG, and will be addressed on that forum.

Created characters must be original to be accepted. There are varying levels of originallity... they are:

Name
There's nothing creative about "Mistoffella", "Tumblebruta", "Carby", or "Etcie". Those are just alterations of character names... And trust me, I can spot them. If a character has a name like this, I'm not even likely to look at the rest of the application...

Appearance
Characters that look exactly like other characters will not be accepted. It is certainly okay, however, to have a black and white/tuxedoed cat, as long as they aren't decribed as "like Mistoffelees" or "like Quaxo". Silver/Grey tabbys are more than welcome, but they can't be "like Munkustrap".

Personallity
"Sweet as Jemima", "strong as Munkustrap", "goofy as Rumpleteazer" just won't cut it. "Very sweet and caring", "strong and brave", or "goofy and fun-loving" work fine.

Traits
Characters that "rival Victoria in dancing" or "preform acrobatics better than Tumblebrutus" will not be accepted. "Is a brilliant dancer" and "is a wonderful actrobat" are acceptable.

Magic
No "as powerful as Mistoffelees" or "has telepathy like the Twins", please! Some small powers will be allowed (heightened sixth-sense, a slight telepathy, etc), but a created character can not be as strong or stronger than a show character when it comes to magic.

Basically, to paraphrase, do not compare characters to other characters... Here are two examples bad characters, taken from "Identity Crisis", which is liked below.

Name: Tiggerella
Age: ALWAYS Tugger's age. Always, Always, Always. (note: this field can sometimes be decieving. I have seen some non-mary sues that have "same age as Victoria" or what not, only to give an exaple of the age, if it's not specified.)
Personality: Flirty, Sexy, Everyone Loves her.
Physical Description: VERY beautiful. Just like Tugger, except one eye is purple, the other is blue. She loves Rum Tum Tugger, and hates Bombalurina (because she's always around Tugger) and Etcetera (because she is crazy about Tugger).
How she came into the tribe: She left her very high-class home one day and found the Junkyard, where all the toms, espeically Tugger, fell in love with her.
(This example was created by me as a semi-extreme example of a mary sue)

Name: Roxanne
Age: Maturing quitten, nearly adulthood
Personality: Kind, loving, funny, a bit flirty; is madly in love with Mistoffelees
Physical Description: Absolutely gorgeous! Similar to Rumpelteazer, except a bit brighter and with a few leopard-like spots. Brilliant green eyes.
How she came into the tribe: Macavity destroyed her small family when she was a kitten and he kidnapped her; she was later rescued from a near-death experience when Mistoffelees heroically stepped in.
(This example was an actaul old draft of a non-mary sue character tha exists today. Things can change!)
